Square AI agents for payments, customers, and bookings

Brainwrite connects Square to your AI agents so they can read payments and orders, manage customer records and groups, check bookings, and look up catalog items and inventory. A bot can summarise yesterday's sales by location or clean up duplicate customers. Refunds and cancelled payments wait for an approval card unless you've allowed them.

Set up

How to connect Square.

  1. 01

    Open Connected apps

In Brainwrite, choose Connected apps in the sidebar. The official app sets up the connection service for you; there's no key to paste.

  2. 02

    Search for Square

Find Square and choose Connect. You can add more than one account later and label each, such as work or a client.

  3. 03

    Sign in in your browser

Finish Square's own sign-in in your normal browser. The access token stays with the connection service and never enters a bot's prompt.

  4. 04

    Choose which bots get it

In each bot's settings, give it all tools, an exact list, or none. Imported bots start with none, so nothing reaches your account by surprise.

The Apps catalog: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Notion, Linear, Sentry, PostHog and Discord, each with Connect.

FAQ

Brainwrite and Square: questions

How do I connect Square to Brainwrite?

Open Connected apps, search for Square, and choose Connect. Square's authorization opens in your browser; sign in to the seller account and approve. Return to Brainwrite and ask a bot with Square tools to list your locations. The token stays with Composio, not in prompts.

Can a bot read Square sales without touching payments?

Yes. In the bot's settings under Connected apps, set Square to an exact list of read tools: list payments, search orders, and list locations. Leave out refund, cancel payment, and pay order. Those tools are then never offered to that bot.

Does a bot need my Mac on to send a daily Square summary?

Local routines need the Brainwrite app running on your Mac at the scheduled time; a missed run shows as missed in the run receipts. Brainwrite Cloud runs routines around the clock on your own Cloud computer, so the summary arrives even when your Mac is closed.
